bio picture

I help businesses get their point across with engaging content both in print and digital. From blog posts to marketing materials and everything in between, I help businesses tell their story.

I also work with custom publishing companies on print products, from slick sales brochures to 100-plus page glossy magazines. My experience as a magazine and newspaper editor allows me to manage the entire editorial process, from concept through to the product hitting the press.

Additionally I work as a freelance journalist. With more than a decade’s experience of working in busy newsrooms I have covered a wealth of beats, allowing me to tackle a wide range of news stories with ease.

My background

I graduated with a BA (hons) in journalism from the University of Sheffield, U.K. While I trained as a journalist I started my career in public relations, working as a press officer for a large U.K. based corporation before heading agency side.

In 2005 an opportunity came my way to relocate to the Cayman Islands. I switched gears and headed back to my roots, working as a general news reporter for the Cayman Islands’ leading daily newspaper. Over the years I worked my way up through the ranks, from general news reporter to features writer, supplements editor, and then magazine editor.

In 2016 I was poached by a rival newspaper, then operating as a twice-weekly newspaper, to head up the team as managing editor.

In 2018 I was approached by a new Cayman-based publishing company, Pink Duck Publishing, to develop a trio of high-end luxury publications.

Over the course of my career I have offered my services as a freelance copywriter, journalist, editor, and communications professional to select businesses and publishing companies.
